Smoking allowed outside

Ash trays are by the back door. We do not allow smoking in our guests suites or common area’s of our home.  Ignoring this policy will result in a $200 room-cleaning fee and you’ll be asked to leave immediately.

Rates are based on Single/Double Occupancy

Additional persons are $35/night and require innkeeper notification.

Pet Policy

We accept pets in our Southern Mansion ONLY, which has hard surface flooring that we steam and can remain allergy-free. Bookable online under Add-Ons at $50 per night.  One pet per room ONLY.  If you are traveling with more than one pet please call and we can suggest a nearby doggie day care.  Pets may not be left in the room alone unless crated.  You are responsible for any damage your pet causes and will be billed accordingly which is easily avoided by crating when they’re alone. Ignoring this policy will result in a $200 fine/room-cleaning fee and you’ll be asked to leave immediately.

Children

Nursing babies & children over 5 years are welcome by special arrangement but you must order either continental or room service breakfast in your room so we can maintain an adult-oriented environment at the table in our dining room.

Entertaining Your Own Guests

In consideration of other guests that are here we ask that you check with us before bringing people back to visit. We do host small special occasion gatherings in our dining or living room @ $50/hr. Please call to set this up with Cheri along with any food service items you may want. 

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates may be purchased in any dollar amount on this website under the Gift Certificate link at the top of this page.  Gift Certificates purchased are valid for up to 5 years.  Gift Certificates issued from moving a reservation are valid for up to 1 year.  To redeem a Gift Certificate, please call in your reservation. To redeem a third party Gift Certificate (i.e. bedandbreakfast.com) you need to make the reservation on their website and enter the information from their Gift Certificate.

Reschedule Request for Guest Rooms

Unlike a traditional hotel, you have reserved a uniquely themed room exclusively for your stay. Please understand your reservation is not cancellable. However, you are able to reschedule your reservation 10 Days before arrival by E-mailing reservations@prairieside.com. Note: We don’t accept phone calls because we need a valid paper trail. Let us know your “NEW” arrival date. Your original reservation must be paid in full before moving, and the new reservation must be an equivalent value to the original reservation. If you don’t know a future date, we can issue a “Prairieside Gift Certificate” which will be valid for one year and can be used towards one future reservation. There is a $20 Move Reservation Fee for this service.  Concerned about Canceling? We recommend you consider purchasing private trip insurance if an unforeseen event causing you to cancel would result in undue financial stress or burden. If your request is received without 10 days notice, you are responsible for all charges. No-shows are charged for full reservation. No refunds, no cancellations, no early departures.

Your Deposit & Payment

50% of your reservation is required by credit card when booking your room. We will use the credit card on file for the remainder of your balance two weeks prior to your arrival unless you call with another credit card before then. Please note that we are not able to accept cash. One night stays and reservations made within 14 days require payment in full.

Massage Services:

Cannot be canceled once ordered without payment in full. Our massage therapists have held your appointment for you and need to be compensated.

Cancellation Policy for Meeting Rooms/Parties/Events:

Your deposit minus a $50 processing fee is credited toward your next event if cancellation is received 30
days prior to your arrival. If your cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to your event you will
forfeit the meeting room deposit. Any guest suites that are reserved with your meeting/party or event
will be handled in accordance with our stated policy above.
